This year, we stopped in Santequin for our favorite scones at the Family Tree Restaurant (please remind me to only get ONE to share next year as they're way too big and with that honey butter, I try to eat it all). I always joke that their scones are larger than my first-born, so I guess it's apropo that that's where I eat with my firstborn.We tried out a new B&B this year but it felt a lot like staying in someone's house so we probably won't stay there again. We love the Big Yellow Inn, so we'll try to book early next year.
We had tickets to see two plays: King Lear and The Taming of the Shrew, both in the theatre that's being replaced soon. Bianca and I took some pictures (there was a selfie contest and we won tickets so we're coming back in the fall!) of the theatre before it's gone.
We also went to see a movie (Papertowns) and ate out (a terrible Indian restaurant and then our Centro Pizza place that reminds us of Italy).
This time, we even went to the lecture the next morning in the trees and that was a ton of fun. I can't believe we've never done that before!!!
All in all, another great mother-daughter bonding weekend. Sometimes with all this teenager stuff, we don't get a chance to bond. Love these weekends!
